I am happy to report that I had a very good afternoon of fishing at the Mississinewa Reservoir spillway southeast of Peru,In. In about three hours time,...maybe less than that,...I caught five fish. I caught one crappie, one
bluegill, and three white bass on minnows with a bobber presentation. I found
that when I hooked the minnow just slightly ahead of the tail so that it was head down,my catch ratio increased,...compared to hooking the minnow in
the head with tail down. That way the minnow was able to swim around, and
I seriously believe that was the presentation the fish were looking for. I fished from the shore because they were calling for storms here and I did not want to be out in the boat if it was going to be storming. It did not storm,...
much less rain,...one bit and I could have taken the boat out afterall and fished the main lake instead! Hey,..it was still a good day of fishing for me!
