That seems to work best for me too in the hot weather. But all I have ever done was pull CB's. Of course in the summer I'm usually back home by 9:30 or 10. Can't take the heat like I could when I was young.

    Wink Pushing Cranks.

I usually start pushing crankbaits about now. Water is kind of high right now and later this week im gonna try em out. I use 5 wms 12ft poles. I tie a snap swivel on the end of my line this is where my wt. goes usually 2oz. tie a trailer to it (30in) and add another snap swivel. this makes changing lures easier. We can only have 5 poles. I have all 5 on the frontmof my boat. As far as speed i guess at it. Watch the rod tips and start adjusting your speed until the rod tip stars to bounce.I only fish this way when we have high water, but i never fish in more than 15 fow.As far as baits i use some bandits but mostly bargin basement works just as good. Havent last a bait yet. Also pushing let you make tighter turns, also ifi move into shallower water5-10ft i remove the wt.
