If that pic was real .... that wouldn't be a 7lb Crappie, it'd be a 27lb Crappie :D
It's so obviously photoshopped, that it's laughable :p

Just Check The Hook In The Fishes Mouth! Fake!
GET IN, SIT DOWN, HOLD ON, AND BE VEWY VEWY QUITE!!!!!
Just photo trickery, it's a small fish close to the camera & the guy is standing way back acting like he's holding it, you can tell his hands aren't in the fishes mouth pretty easily.

That is exactly what it is and why the hook looks so large as well. It is getting a lot of talk on all the boards and I am sure that was the intent. I guess we keep chasing that record. I would love to catch a 4. Have a few 3's but never a 4.
I have a friend who has caught a lot of 4#+ crappie until I put them on the scale and they weigh closer to 2#
I will pretend like I'm from Missouri and you will have to SHOE ME better proof than the pic above...
Why would it be illegal to keep a crappie caught on a trot line? I think you are confusing you can't keep crappie if caught in a net (if you were catching bait with a castnet for example and caught a crappie in the mix the crappie would be illegally caught and you need to return it to the water)...
