Like the others said, use a level from the bottom of the boat to the cavitation plate and make sure when the motor is all the way down they line up.

    Exclamation HELP with gauge wiring!

Anyone have experience wiring a Mercury control box to console gauges?
My existing Teleflex tachometer has several posts on the back. Not sure what each one is for. My Mercury control box has a female plug for wiring a tach.
Is a wiring harness required? How do you get from the plug down to wire leads to the tach?

I was able to see the indentions from the previous motor mount so I used that for starting point. Lined up perfectly on the first try.
