Wally, first off thanks for taking your time to chat with us small timers....lol

My question are what size line and what color do you use for:

    Pitching a cork and jig.
    And for spider rigging.

Have you ever fished any Louisiana lakes?

    Hey Wally,
Here where I live and fish we use slip bobbers with jigs and minnows. Fishing the creek banks in the Ohio river tributaries. Have you ever spider rigged or trolled in small creeks such as I'm talking about? The fish have to be moving along in the channels. I'm thinking of giving it a shot this year for the first time. What do you think? Thanks for you help and good luck to ya

    Default 1/8oz jigs

Thanks you for Your time. Seems everyone wants to use 1/16 and 1/32 jigs which I've only done for the past couple of years. Have all ways used 1/8oz do You use 1/8 for some type jigging or trolling?

Wally .. question for you on your Pro Series rods. I purchased 4 of these rods from BPS and requested the medium light actions. Well 3 of the rods came in a "light" action and only one was what I had originally ordered in the "medium light" action. My question is this ... Why are the tips of these rods so limber as I do most of my fishing with these rods .. vertical fishing.

I have broken 2 of these rods and inquired with BPS and they told me that when I purchased them, they were on a close out and could not be replaced because of this. I know that replacement tips can be ordered but ... I only had these rods for no more than 40 days when two of them broke because of the tip being so limber in lifting the crappie over the railing where I fish.

Looking forwards to your reply. Would give even more details but then it would be too long of a post for you! Lol

    Wally,

Thanks for all the great info over the years. My question concerns line, knowing the Mr Crappie hi-vis mono (great mono), what do you think about braid and floro? When, if ever, do you use braid or floro?

    Thanks,

    Brad
