Never done it before, but if they're hitting that good..... I'd pick up a pole, tie on a jig and say the heck with the noodles!!!!! :D
Any one ever try Jugs for crappie??? I have some I made out of Pool noodles that you can get a wally world for bout a buck at the end of pool season. I was juggin for catfish one weekend and I put a minnow on and it got hit quick by a nice crappie. So we went into a slew, adjusted our jug lines to bout a foot foot and a half and started dropping them with a live minnow on them along the brush lines. we couldn't get them set out and retrieved fast enough. Next time we were river fishing and dropped them along the banks and let them float down stream through some stumps (slow current), once again it turned into a job trying to retreive them fast enough and get them back out. The kids where having a blast.
Keep in mind dont do this where jugging is elegal!!!

Not legal in Texas to catch crappie on jugs or trot lines, or at least not legal to keep them. Feel sure a lot of other states have the same rules, but maybe not yours?

He's in NE Texas. Yeah, it's illegal to keep those fish caught on jug or trotline, only catfish and nongamefish.
Happiness is a scraped-up thumb.
In South Carolina it's illegal to use live bait of any kind on jugs or be in possession(sp?)of any game fish while jug fishing.
The kids have a blast chasing the jugs as their bouncing around.
