I've never caught a Carp while Crappie fishin', but I have caught these to Smallmouth Buffalo. Both while Crappie fishing and on little Tuffie minnows. I've others on the line but couldn't get them in.
This is my smallest one.
I got the above fish to the boat on this light wire hook... after chasing him around the lake for 30 minutes with the trolling motor:D
This is my biggest one.
I got this one to the boat on this stainless steel hook that is muck larger that the light wire hook, but much stronger.
Some folks say these fish are good to eat, but I put them back in the lake... after I punish them first by making them pose for a pic with me.:D
