Jeff Does Sears still carry them?
I started using the Eveready's from Wal-Mart. group 29 is around $70. and have lasted 2 hard years.
Theres days I run the T/m 5 or 6 hours hard runing at half to 3/4 WFO fishing for blues in the current below Pickwick.
Will be replacing these next week.

The best Baby Back Ribs were here Sunday, Put them on the smoker for 5 hours. Melt in your mouth.
And I'm with you on Memphis. I only go if I have to. And then in the truck. Don't think most of the dump A$$ people in Memphs would like to play bumper cars with my 3/4 ton Chevy Duramax. The 19.5 tires would make a nice mark down there cars.. LOL

personally i use OPTIMA BlueTop batterys- i have 1 in my jon boat for my trolling motor and has never failed me yet- solid use for 3 days without charging. i have 2 in my 24ft seacraft with a I/O 454. i also have 2 in my race car and its a .60 over bored 358 and pushes just over 400 HP and does NOT have an alternator !! the optimas power me for 30 or so minutes pumping 400 horses burning 112 octane at 90 mph sideways round and round in the dirt........i wish i had stock in them - these batterys are worth their weight in gold !!! they are gel also ans can be mounted sideways or upside down if need be.

What is the average life span of a battery in a car that is used alot and drove hard? I have never had one last me longer than two years. My wifes laster her a little over four years and it was an AC DELCO. She has 120,000 miles, I thought the battery done quite well. What do you think?

In an auto that is driven regularly and the charging system is working properly even a cheap battery should last 4 years. We normally get 6 to 7 years out of the batteries on the equipment at work, as long as it is used at least once a week. Some of the things that will shorten a battery life is a cranking and charging system that is not working properly, this can include bad wire connections, corroded battery terminals, dirty and damp battery, battery that isn’t properly tied down (bouncing around in the battery box will break and short out the plates in the battery), a starter that is dragging, and a alternator that is overcharging (should be 13.8 to 14.6 volts). One of the reasons Delco batteries last so long is that they are the best sealed batteries there is. They don’t have the acid leaking out of the battery and causing them to get damp dirty film on the top of the battery.

Well, an update - I am gonna have to say "Duh". I was stubbornly trying
to type my zip in under "parts" and no luck - I finally went back and tried
it again on "service centers" and came up with a whole slew of places!
All of the closest ones are small garages, but I'll bet they can order them for
me. I'll try after the holidays. Thanks guys

I like driving in Memphis ,Jeff, I got better insurance than they do. hehehehe. It's the bad truckers that get me, 99% of the truckers are very curtious. Like that old saying we Arkansas boys have, you know why it is windy in Memphis, cuss they s--k.
