If I catch 15 to 20 keepers on a nightstalk (over a pound) that's a good night. Most times this will have you catching 40 or 50 crappie. When I come home with a limit of 30 keepers that's a GREAT night.
I've put in 160 hours into night stalking and I still cant make it work. I caught 5 keepers one time but mostly I catch 1-2 dinks a night. Ive tried deep shallow and eveything else. I keep hearing strories fo 50-100 fish night but just dont see that happening. How many fish would you consider to be a good night.
thanks

Yes,I would have to say 15 - 20 keepers in a night is a great catch. That's for me,that also means probably a 60 fish night with a couple of guys, along.I think that when most people say that they had a 100 plus fish night, they were with some other people.lol.I've had plenty 100 pluses, lol.

Anything Over 15 Is A Good Night
The fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad
A good nightstalk to me is no wind, a dark night, good anchor sets, and a mess of fish (10-15 keepers) to bring home for tomorrow's dinner. Anything else is gravy.
