Of the two I'll take CX everytime. In fact it's my "default" line meaning if I don't know which way to go I go with CX. I use quite a bit of it in 8# & 10#.

I'm also a big fan of the Gamma co-poly. The 6# is what I use on my dock shooters and spinning reels for jigging. More expensive than the CX but worth every penny....

I have been a Die hard Trilene fan but over the years I have been trying new lines. I have been using the p-line and have been very happy. Vicious hi vis is on my reels now and I have been pretty impressed with it so far. it has low memory and little strech and casts great.

My vote is for the Gamma by a big margin for overall performance but XL has it's place.

I really like the Yo-Zuri Line. Its a hybrid of Fluorocarbon and nylon. Its gives the best qualities of both types of line.
Long casting, low memory, toughness, strength, and lasts a long time.

I am a full-time Trilene XL Smooth Casting user, prefferably in the 4-pound line test.

It casts GREAT, doesn't loop up AT ALL, and is decent in the strength department.

You can't have a strong line that's also going to be "limp". If you want just a strong line, try Stren, if you want a castable line, Trilene XL is the way to go.

I have caught some nice 12-13" Crappie on my Zebco 11 w/ Trilene XL 4-pound.

I have been a user of Xl on spin tackle for years. Have tried every super line on the market. Dont like any of them . I have my GL jig rod spooled with the P line HI VIS> It seems to work really good . I will give it a real opportunity next week. Got a week planed for WP>
