    Would the size of the "fish" have anything to do with the fact that you going 0mph,,,making the "fish" stay in the cone longer??

    They very well could be gar. I have a 997 and took some snapshots of what I was certain was a school of gar and they looked just about the same. I guess the only way to know for sure it to catch one of them.

    First of all, if you were moving much they would show up as arches. But they are more like long lines which tell me you were not moving much. Looks like a lot of bait to me with a few fish around the edges. But I am not up on that depth finder, if it were mine that would be what I would say. What is your interpretation?
