BnM is a good company, when my 11ft. arrived it was broke on delivery. Called they sent a new upper end. Great service. I will also continue buying from them. Their service is outstanding.

Well, there is always one in every crowd. I had two almost new 12 foot BnM rods that broke at almost the same spot witin a week of each other. I called BnM and the (lady) that I spoke with pretty much said it was my fault and they were not going to do anything about it. I have been using WALLY MARSHALL rods every since. Anybody that knows me knows that I take care of my equipment and to prove that I have not broken a Wally Marshall rod in two years of use. Just my experience!!

In the past few months I've bought 3 BnM's. 2 10' and 1 12' . Like them all, and have several more in mind. Mostly because of the competitive price and ths service after the sale. No issues yet with any of mine, but I know they will stand behind their product. The Sam Heaton Super Sensitive has as good an action and as light weight a pole as I could find at several stores recently. I travel in my work and stop as much as I can so I get a good comparison. They have my business. Good Job BnM.

In my previous statement I forgot to mention that I hate buying anything made in CHINA. Are there any crappie rods made in the USA? I will pay twice as much just to keep AMERICANS working so we dont have to keep borrowing money from China to finance a stimulus package for people that wont takle responsibility for their own lives.

I had a problem with my SHSS that I won here on c.c too. The top section shattered the first time out. I talked with Jack Wells personally for about 30 minutes. 5 minutes discussing the rod and his promise to make the situation right and 25 minutes talking about crappie fishing. He is as down to earth corporate executive that I have ever met. I also received emails from Kent Driscoll, director of prostaff.

I am very impressed with the customer service and ownsership from B 'n' M and recommend their product. I now have a Russ Bailey signature rod. It is sweet! I love it!

I think it's in the design. Crappie pole blanks are very thin for their length. I think many poles are damaged during shipping -- nothing major, but enough to weaken the blank significantly.

You just don't see a lot of these "I broke the tip off my pole threads" on fly fishing boards, bass boards, etc. I'm not saying other types of poles don't break, because they definitely do. They certainly don't break with the regularity of crappie poles, though.

Earl , you are right on the WM and China. My wally Marshals are three yrs old and trouble free. They are also made in china. If someone in the US would build a good rod I am sure it would sell.

I prefer the BnMs because i can buy a replacement tip for any size rod. I bought 3 eighteen foot wally marshall's back last summer and started fishing with them around november. I managed to break the tip section on 2 of them landing fish around 1 lb each. the vendor replaced the rods, but now they are out of warranty and if i break them again then i guess i am out of luck. i know grizzly jig has started carrying replacement tips, but not for the 18 footers just yet. The older wally marshall's i own have held up better. I have several i bought around 03 that are still hanging in there. must have been a better blank. who knows?
