    Unhappy Went today, myself ...

but if seems the front had them all in a case of severe lockjaw, at my little local Crappie lake. Those that did hit, really thumped it hard and took it in good (entire jig inside mouth). There just wasn't enough of them hitting to bother with keeping any. Oh well ... it was more of a mental health trip, than anything else.
Glad to hear they're starting their Fall Feeding Frenzy ... maybe in two weeks they will be doing the same in East TN !! ......... luck2ya ......... cp

Highs here been in the middle 90's, but we have front coming Wed. with the high of 80 and the low at night 53-56. Been in the upper 60's and low 70's at night. Going Tues. and then again Fri. Have our first open tourney Sat. and need to pre-fish. Hope they turn on here and the weather stays cooler!

    Man,

I wish I could have a day like that. I fished for a few hours this afternoon with a few dinks. The water temp was between 79 (at dark) and 81 (when I got there). Does the fishing slow up in the afternoon for you guys?

    Jerry,

I need u to come up and put the Arkansas Hog Call on these fishes here...haha
Water temp here bout 76-78 degrees. Lake level down to about winter pool. Most of my boat dock is dry land now...Went to my fall fishing holes. Fishes ain't there yet (a few dinks are)...When that temp get to the lower 70's, the fishes will come to TOM. haha

Well, the Crappie (and a few others) on Hamilton finally got word that the Fall Feeding Frenzy is on!!

Started out early this morning with some fast action but most were 9 to 9.5-inch dinks - 17 on the first bamboo condo - and then they just quit.

But around 10:00 they started picking at our minnows again and we picked up two slabs every third spot. We had one that was 15-inches and one 15.5-inches - 8 were over 14-inches.

    Back to Greeson tomorrow.

    Default Yep, it's on!

Took some folks out this morning and ended up with 27. Twenty-five of them were on our first top. We sat there for over 2 hours and steadily hooked them up. After that, they just shut down.

Water temp still in the mid-70's, but we have several nights coming that will drop into the 40's. So, it won't be long till it gets so that we can catch them all day.

    Default Keep it up

DM; you've got some good fish there! I hope they are acting right here tomorrow, Fri, and Sat. That'll make for a good first open tournament for our club. But then again I guess I could trailer up to where ya'll fish and then come back for weighin!!! :D :D
