I tie on a jig with a loop knot on top then drop down 18-36" for a second jig.
How do you guys tie a two jig rig?
Thanks
I tie on a jig with a loop knot on top then drop down 18-36" for a second jig.
I tie a jig on by doing a simple over hand loop knot about 3 inches in the main
line, and then tie a 3/8 or 1/2 oz. barrle weight about 18 inches below the top jig or hook.
The way I tie the barrel weight on is run the main line thru the weight about 4or 5 times, it will hold it in place.
Always start the line thru the top of the weight.
Now about 18 inches below the barrel weight tie on the other jig/hook to the bottom.
The weight in between the jig/hook is because, if you get hung with either jig, just get over the hang up and lightly bounch the weight up and down , and it will free it MOST of the time, IF you haven't burdied the hook in to deep.

Double surgeons knot to form a 2"-3" loop for the top jig 18"-24" from the end of your line then your usual knot to tie the bottom jig on. I use this rig on brush piles and on timber as long as I'm not in cedars...
