    Default OT Amelia launch

Does anybody out there know if there's a launch in Amelia. I'd like to put in there and have a couple of more options than Doiron's would give me (well, closer anyway). Thanks.

    Default Amelia Launch,

    Hey buddy,
There is a launch in Amelia. I used to work in that area so I know it pretty good. Its located under the old Highway 90 bridge. Here are some directions...Take the Amelia exit. When you get to the stop sign off the exit take a right, that will take you to the old highway 90 intersection(1/2 mile). The first red light you come to take a left and its not that far down. When you get to the bridge, stay to the right of it,dont cross it. When you come to that stop sign you should see the boat launch across the way. I think its like a dollar to launch. Best of Luck!

Hey TC, choupic is right. The launch is on the West side of Bayou Boeuf under the old bridge. It's a pretty nice launch. There is a pay station on the right as you drive in. You take a ticket to put on your dash and you stick a dollar in the slot on the board that matches you ticket #. I took a ride out there last week and went all the way up to Lake Verret, not a bad ride. Water was very low and somewhat muddy and I only caught one fish. That was my first trip there so I had no idea where to fish. I wish you luck.

    Default nice catch

nice catch tc. lots of good canals in the area bite in some one day some the next. also certain canals have fish that will spawn as early as the January moon and some in Feb moon and some March moon Just kinda got to figure it out. Been fishing that area wince I was little so know it really well. dont always catch a lot in any one place but catch 5 here 5 there next thing you know you had a good day. Some of the best days to fish are days like today but the main canal from the bridge to the corner can get a little scary. seen days when even in a bass boat you could only idle all the way. get some nice 3-4 footers in there when wind conditions are right. There is a Launch in the swamp on the road that goes from amelia to labadieville that is good to launch at. Brings you in the back of bayou Sherman.

Good sight Joshua, I am new to this type of fishing just started with my fishing partner cajunsac-o-leit. He has been doing this type of fishing for a long time, and is a good teacher. We should get together sometime.
