Being in N. LA I can't be of much help there. Some of the posts from the S. LA guys indicate fishing has slowed considerably, and hasn't been much traffic lately. Once the spawn is over you'll need to know where to find some tops to fish in deeper water, or some good breaks along the creek channels. If you are close enough, you might try the Saline/Larto Lake complex. (About 30 miles east of Alexandria.) A friend of mine indicated it's the best lake for crappie in the entire state, and he's one of the most consistent fishermen I know. This being the weekend, most of our members are out fishing and replys are hard to get. Maybe some of the S. LA boys will help you more if they check the board tonight.
