    Default Satwater pictures

Well I made a trip down to Rockafeller today hoping the water would be high and the shrimp would be stacked up at the wiers........Well the few shrimp I did catch were nice but 2 &1/2 hours for 3 or 4 lbs of shrimp just isn't my cup of tea. I decided to make the best of it and do some crabbing......Well the crabs cooperated a little better. Some of the best crabs I have caught this year. Here are a few pictures.

Was heading back home when I thought about it........Alot of our members wouldn't give up that easy so I decided to making a fishing trip by the house. Made for a pretty good day.
Randy, I couldn't wait for you so I went ahead and caught 2- Cajun Grand Slams! :D

Markham, I even caught one for you!

Of course I did something a little different with mine than you did with yours.

Stayed out there until this chased me off.

Thanks Gred, just finished eating the fish. Called mom and dad over and made an evening of it. We will do the crabs tomorrow night with my parents and my in-laws.

Dwayne, glad to see you made a good time of it. Sorry about the shrimp, but you should have no regrets about the rest of the trip. Keep em coming...Rick

Nice mess of salty critters Dwyane. Those shrimp look like monsters even if you only had a few.

Hey Markham, first off thanks for replying....97 views and 5 replys....Guess I need to get on some crappie so the guys will talk to me again! LOL

Using the same thing except I switched from the LSU Cocahoe to the LSU sand eel Jr. tipped with shrimp. Went back today with my dad but only managed to catch 2 flounder and 2 barely legal reds. Oh well all day spent with dad made it worth while.

Hey jchief, I have tried them once when I went out with a buddy and yes I was impressed. Hook a red on the first throw. I don't care alot for them though b/c they tear easy and they are EXPENSIVE!! But yes they do work.

Thumbs up Flounder hole flounder sole

You got my attention with the flounder. I mean I do love to fish for crappies. That is not the reason for this post. The mass of species leaves me with a smile. Dem flounder leave me with a taste for more bait flippin! They and I have a score to settle. These pics really make me wish I were fishin’ dem’ waters. :D Looks like you had fun!

    Enjoying the post,

    Riverfish
