Default What does it feel like??

I haven't been fishing since the last of October. That's when I bent my prop shaft. Two marine dealers later and a round with the insurance company, I have a new lower unit and it still hasn't been in the water. Only water it touched was the pool that they checked to see if it would go into forward and reverse and to see if the new water pump worked. Also just got through totally remodeling two complete bathrooms because of a leak back in January. Two walls and floor ruined. Insurance company wouldn't pay a thing, they said the leak was more than 15 days old. Can't just tear out a wall and see if the plumbing is leaking but make sure you have your premium in on time. Sorry just had to vent. Line is rotten and I think my poles will dry rot before I get to go!!!

Sorry you haven’t been able to fish. This spring has been one to forget, as far as crappie fishing goes. High muddy water everywhere!! I hope you get to go soon, and the fishing gets better!

I first wrote this thread on 5/20 and was hoping that I'd get to go soon. Well on 5/22 my 92 year old mom fell and broke her hip. Surgery the next day went fine. They had told me that anistisia messes with an older persons mind and moms was getting bad before but now it only takes about 15 seconds for her to forget what you just said to her. She can remember a lot of the past but short term memory is almost non existent. I have her in a skilled nursing facility and my sister and I are taking turns sitting with her during the day. When it rains it pours I reckon.

God bless you and your Mom. I am praying for you to be able to slip in a fishing day. Need to take care of yourself also.

I feel for you, really do. We had my mother in law here for the past five years, 95 years old with all kinds of issues. It's very difficult to deal with. She went to a skilled nursing facility three weeks ago. It's was sad to see her go downhill so fast. In a way I felt guilty sending her there, but Ann and I work full time away from home at the university here.

Some people haven't a clue about what being a caregiver is about until they're one. I sure didn't.
