Cattin with the kids, ouachita river
It ain't crappie but it is a fishing report...
Kids been wanting to catch some cats on limb lines, it's became a yearly tradition.
Scouted out a few spots and set 24 lines Friday evening, baited up with skipjack.
Ran lines and rebaited the next morning and brought in about a dozen blues.
My friend had some bream in a livesack he gave us to bait with Saturday evening in hopes of catching a big opp.
Took up lines Sunday morning and had about 15 more fish. Although we never did get any opp, the blues ran much larger on second night.
Jaythan was sick sunday morning and couldn't go. I had to get McKenzlie to step in and fill his shoes. Hate he missed catching those big fish.
Kids had a good time and I'm wore slap out.
Gonna put the lines back in the shed and try not to look at them for a while.
