The stars aligned, and I finally got her talked into a fishin trip. We hit the lake at 6am, tried some shallow spots for first cpl hrs with not much luck.

I think the fish were there, they just wouldn't bite.

Backed off the bank and put the cheatscope to work. Caught fish on the flats around timber, 2ft to 5ft deep in 8 to 12ft water.

We pitched 1/32 hand ties at them and put a hurt on em.

Quit at 11am and headed home to get ready for a birthday party.
