That battery/charger will power a Livescope for about 3 hours and lists for $249. The battery alone sells for $99 on Amazon. It is not recommended that a lithium battery be hooked up to a outboard motor.

Only thing it's running is the Live scope box and screen. Never failed in an 8 or 9 hour tournament day

First I've heard about using a lithium battery with a outboard.

I did a little research and all I can find is it won't fully charge the battery.

I've used lithium battery for my outboard starting and foot motor with no issues yet. I do charge it at home after we every use

My gls10 with lvs32 draws 0.02A resting (screwn off) and 1.2A running.

You want to run your livescope screen head and box off a separate lithium battery to eliminate interference and allow it to run at peak power the entire time. They need +12.0V for peak performance.

I suggest a cheap lithium 20Ah from amazon and a noco lithium charger. Battery should run you around $100 and charger $20-30.

Lithium starting batteries are okay, but otherwise lithium batteries have a BMS set to 14.6V typically and outboard alternators can output 14.8v regularly. If the battery cut off input amps because it's fully charged at 14.6, it can damage your charging system on the motor.

Lithium starting/dual purpose batteries have a modified BMS that will not shut off charging input when motor is running.

I fish year around if I'm fishing at 28 degrees and I start the motor will the starting battery charger off the motor or will the BMS keep it from charging because it's below freezing? Some brands I've heard have a built in heater but I doubt if all of the starting batteries do.

Most of the starting batts have the heater for that reason. However using the battery warms it up so it will eventually get warm enough to charge from the draw of the EFI and electronics on it. One guy i know turns on his livewell pump for a few minutes to warm his battery quicker, another uses a heat mat under the batteries and a jump pack with AC output on his way to the lake. I think I would go for the heating mat on the way, i have one under my TM batteries during the winter and it works fantastic.
