Thread: Lake D"Arbonne

Hey guys, just a quick report on the fishing at Lake D'arbonne!
Fishing has been GREAT the last 2 weeks!! Fish are in the channels, around 18 to 20 ft deep. Rattlesnake Bend has been producing limits daily. I know a lot of you guys are staying at the State Park for the get together, so you won't have to go far to catch fish. There are PLENTY of 11 and 12 inchers, with the occasional 1.25 or 1.50 caught in the channels. If you want quality fish, you can hit the flats, 12-15 foot of water, to catch the 1.25 lb plus fish. I've lived on D'arbonne for 5 years now, and this is the best year of fishing I've had by far! Anything with green has been triggering more bites for me lately, but you still can't beat the ol silver hair jig, Ghost, or the orange/chartruse combo. Shiners seem to be catching the bigger fish.
