    Default Lake D'Arbonne Gathering 2023

Hello friends, we are just 30 days away from great Food, Fellowship, and Fishing at Lake D'Arbonne State Park in Farmerville, Louisiana. The dates are November 9-12, 2023. We have the Group Camp again this year so we will have plenty of room. There are 26 Bunk Beds on one side and 26 Bunk Beds on the other side. If you need a place to stay just come on. You will need to bring bed linens and towels since these are not provided. As always Pot Luck Supper on Friday night and Fish Fry on Saturday night. Hope to see you there.
I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

I hate to miss it, but I’m going to be at Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning) watching my grandson graduate from basic training.
Hope y’all have a great gathering!

Brother Maxwell, I was just thinking we needed a Darbonne post! Me and the wife and the 4 dogs will be up there that Wednesday through Sunday with our little camper!

On another note, does anyone have an empty seat in their boat? I can pull my boat behind my camper (Thanks to Slab Hunter fixing it up for me!) but if I don't have to pull it I won't. Not afraid to admit, I am a little intimidated by that double towing!

Man. This sounds like so much fun. One day I’m gonna make it to one of these. But not this time. I’ll be on my 40 year honeymoon. Gonna be traveling up and down the east coast with my wife. Y’all have fun, be safe and great catching!

I sure miss fishing. Situation changed this year, so I've only been once for a few hours back in March. Mom is living with us on hospice, and I'm the only one in the house strong enough to move her up in the bed, so I don't leave for long anymore. Sure wish I could make the gathering, but I just keep telling myself there will be another one later. Hope you all catch well and enjoy the fellowship!

I hear you, it's very difficult. I never realized what a caregiver goes though until being one. MIL is 99 years old here with us, so sad to see her mind deteriorate as time goes on. Over four years now. Most folks don't have a clue what we go through. No prayers requested. Thanks for posting - I understand.
