    Default Public Fishing spots?

So I’m near Houma and looking for public spots to fish panfish, possibly even ponds that charge a day rate to fish if such a thing exists. I’m willing to drive a few hours any direction from Houma and don’t mind catch and release if required. Any and all suggestions welcome?

Even willing to hit neighboring states to do some bank/pond fishing. We just wanna travel a little bit and experience something different, we can get a cabin/hotel if needed the only real requirement is it has to be from the bank as we don’t currently have a boat. Any and all suggestions welcome?

Call and ask at Bud’s Cabins on Larto Lake. Or perhaps closer to you, on one of the coves on Toledo Bend. Toledo is loaded with fish, the trick is finding a place you can fish from the bank or rent a boat. You could certainly go south and fish salt water even from the bank it can be good. Maybe come to one of our get togethers and catch a ride. I would encourage you to try to set that up ahead of time so you wouldn’t be left “high and dry”. Lots of crappie guides on Toledo. I have gone with “Living the Dream “. They are good

I will check with Bud’s Cabins. We are planning a guided trip and “Living the Dream” is who we plan to use.

    Thanks
