    Default 2 weekends ago

Went to Vernon Lake on 8/26/23 and brought a buddy for an afternoon trip. Got on some schools in 30+ fow. Kept 37. I caught all mine on one of my blue/white hair jigs. We’ve been having issues with wildfires in SW Louisiana. One started around noon on Lion Camp Rd. Took a photo of it just after 3:30pm. Thankfully no one was hurt. Name: IMG_7590.jpg

Yeah they have some hammers in there. Longest I’ve caught is 16.5 inches. I’m going this afternoon 2 weekends ago

Are you livescoping or fishing the visible timber?

Great catch!! I tie a jig similar to that one. A little crystal flag in the tail, and clear silver flake nail polish on the head. Not sure if it’s better than the same jig with unpainted lead head. Thanks for the report!
