Went this morning anyway, left ramp about 7:45. Started trying to pick off what I'm thinking are crappie but don't know if they were are not. Still figuring it out. Went to a patch of cane but only had one taker but he was 14" long. Fished the rest of the canes and nada. Went by 3 pieces of 4" pvc standing in the water and started not even look but I did anyway. Saw a fish, dropped silver jig down and thump! 13" one. Looked again and thump. Found a pile of something in-between the pipes and caught 4 more. All over 12" (2) 13" (1) 14". Seven total but good mess.

Nice quality fish
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Great catch!! I almost went there last week. Went to Louie and caught 3. Saw quite a few fish, but they weren’t interested.
Having starter troubles on my boat .
That’s some beauties, nice job

Glad you caught them! I have been thinking about Old River. My outboard is at least partially fixed(slipping Bendix). Now it turns over a couple times and kicks out. But so far starts each time. I have had trouble with it for years! Finally saw a YouTube video about bendixes. The Bendix wasn’t locking onto the pinion shaft.
Really nice fish.
