Default Cranking Cypress Lake, Benton La. August 12th

Made a trip to Cypress Lake yesterday cranking with my Bandit 300's and caught 9 crappie . Wind was blowing and made fishing tough, but still managed to catch a few decent fish. Have not set the world on fire trolling baits , but catching quality fish with a 14in. and 13 in. crappie . Here are a few phots I took yesterday. As my brother says; three more years and I'll have them figured out!

It gets tough in the heat of the summer, but come end of September, it'll be on fire again. I've been struggling with back problems for the last three years, but having surgery next month. Hopefully it puts that in the past and I'll be able to be back on the water by then. I do my best crankin' between Oct and December, depending on how fast or slow the water cools down, but it has always been the time of the year where I catch my best quality and quantity. Hope to see you out there tearing them up in the near future. Just be sure to save a few for me to catch.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.

Good pictures. Thanks for sharing. How many poles did you use and how much line did you let out? I tried this a little at cross and caught a few but needed more practice. The drums kept biting so I gave up.
