Default 7/6/2023 CATTING ON THE T FUNKY RIVER

My Grandson Austin and I got the itch to go catch some cats on Da River. Launched at 9 am. They really need to learn how to park at that launch. My grandson caught the first one before we were 200 ft from the launch. Caught 25 nice cats without leaving the No Wake zone by the bridge launch. Caught all on dead shrimp (market bait) and a small treble hook Carolina Rigging. Cats hanging at 18 to 25 feet in 35 to 40 foot of water. Catch a few and move was the recipe for success. The clouds of shad were magnificent to watch as the cats scattered them.

Caught one nice sacalait under the bridge just because we saw a group of big ones and I wanted to feel that "can never get enough of it" THUMP !!!!

Weather gods were good to us today. No rain and over cast till noon when we put it on the trailer because the tide stopped falling. No tide no bites.

Another Paw Paw Adventure in the books.
    Bon Temps !!!!
