Sounds like a fun trip. Hopefully someone can help you out. Good luck and good fishing.
My entire family rented a lake house on the Texas side of Toledo Bend from 6/23/23-6/28/23 for my mothers birthday. I have decided to bring my boat. We are staying in Shelbyville area. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to point my 10yr old son and myself in the right direction. I have livescope but have not figured it out at all but looking forward to trying! I am also bringing my cranking gear to fall back on because I am alot better at that lol. Anyways any help would be much appreciated! (Even if the help is use this launch, or eat supper here, or dont drive fast there because of underwater rip rap, etc). Thankyou!

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
What is the fishing report? What part of the lake are you on?
Just got to the cabin around 2 at Huxley. Watching the LSU/Florida game and then will head out and search for brushpiles in the cove here.
If i dont find anything i will go check out the AGFC brushpiles that i got the coordinates from online. They seem to be on the mainlake. Its pretty windy today there!
Check out Fat Boys Fishing on YouTube. They fish around Huxley. Good Livescope instruction on there too. If it’s too windy you could try Teneha Creek just north of there, or there is a little pocket just south of Huxley. I can’t remember the name. Used to catch bream in there in the winter. Say hi to Huxley for me. Used to fish there a lot!
Try Bayou Seippe. It is just south of Huxley Bay. First road to the left after the turn to Huxley Bay. It has a good boat ramp. Bass fishing should be good early. Crappie in the deeper water on structure. Usually plenty of bream along the shore. Be careful...lots of trees just under the surface, especially since the water level is going down. Good luck.
Hwy 276 bridge at Holly park against the middle pilings and on the hwy 6 main bridge on the Louisiana side pilings 5,6,7 from the bank. Those are good at times. Other than that look for tops around 20 to 25 ft.
