    Default Struck Out on Concordia

Quick trip behind the house. Wind was a bit of a problem. Tried the lucky tree and caught a small hybrid striper. Moved up the lake and tried a few spots with no success. Got in the lee of the high bank and caught a bream and a gou. Got all the kinks out of my line anyway. Name: B04AEB46-EF83-44B8-AF5B-8A8E8FEA8A9A.jpg

Use one of the many blackening seasoning products and be generous with it. I use avocado oil cuz it’sgood fer ya but you’re supposed to use butter in the cast iron pan. Get it really hot. It will smoke some when you put the fish on. I cut my fish into blocks so they are easier to flip. When it doesn’t stick it’s ready to be flipped. A few minutes on each side and drum is good no matter what color they are.
