Default Plant The Seed Watch It Grow. 5/19 on the road next to Da Bayou

While I was off in another state chasing sacalait with two good buddies my bride and grandson were fishing without me. I simply planted the seed by taking them fishing and now they, especially my grandson, have taken the bait and run with it. They drove my beat up truck to Lake Road earlier Friday morning and fished the banks of Da Bayou with CR's secret "Green Worms" pursuing bream. They succeeded in catching several small fish along with an 8" and 9"er. As always it is a friendly competition between my bride and grandson as to who caught the most and who caught the biggest fish. My bride caught the most along with her PB Bream, a very thick 8"er. My grandson caught the biggest a 9"er. As a Louisiana Master Gardener I have always felt very satisfied by watching the results of planting a simple seed and nurturing it to bear fruit or flowers. I planted a different seed and I am watching it grow into a life long passion. Very satisfying.
    Very satisfying indeed.

Paw paw you’ve done good. Love the story and how you planted the seed. Good stuff that will bear fruit for a lifetime.

Very happy to see this post.

I hope to have that influence on my new great grandson. His Dad got the hunting and fishing bug from me so all signs point to success from both he and I.
