Good report. Try figuring out what made them prefer the tube. Was it color, shape, profile, size, weight? Then once you figure it out try duplicating it with hand tie.
I’ve been working out of town, so I only had a 5 hour window to go fishing. Went back to Noname and it was Windy!!
Found a pocket that was a little protected and quickly caught 3 on my standard red and chartreuse tube on 1/24 oz jig. 7-11 fow. Then I decided to try some jigs I tied. They weren’t exactly in love with my creations. The wind got worse Really hard holding the boat still.
Great to be able to go! Released all fish Probably caught 8. Found several new trees in 11 fow. Should be good for the future.

Hard to deal with the wind
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
So many variables!! Several times I have had crappie bite the shiney steel weight 18” above my jig. Tried the shiny headed jigs, so far didn’t seem to help.
What has been working for me is a 1/16 or 1/24 oz jig with a red head, and a Crème tiny tube in red and chartreuse with glitter in it. Berkley nibble in chartreuse
One thing that really seems to have a negative effect is a drop shot. The fish get spooked by the weight. I copied the guys on the Crappie Connection, and put the weight above the jig (at least a foot)
Thanks for the feedback!

Never knew all the words. Still don’t! You would think every one would know the words as many times they played it on the radio!!
