If you're planning to fish D'Arbonne while you're down you may want to stay in Farmerville. It's about a 55-60 minute drive from Farmerville to Bussey. There's more places to stay in Farmerville where your boat would be safer. I lived in Bastrop most of my life.

Cheminahaut state park has some nice cabins and you're only about 15 minutes from the lake

I know there have been some big ones caught in Bussey, but how is the overall crappie fishing?
Slow right now at best. Good day for me right now is 15 to 20 fish even with livescope. This isn't a numbers lake. Might catch a night one though. Males are still shallow. Some females have already spawned. Sent from my SM-G973U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
