    Default Windy Frontal Day

Woke up to the sound of rain. Saw on radar that the rain should quit in a couple hours. After the rain stopped, I loaded up and headed to the lake. I was the only boat at the landing. Tried to find an area out of the wind, but it was swirling. Found a few fish in 7-9 fow and caught a few. Hard to hold boat steady in the wind. Took a tour of the lake, but the wind seemed to be blowing everywhere. Went back to the original area and hammered out a decent mess. Was amazed that I was able to catch anything on a day like that. I had tied some jigs with red chenille. I got a few nibbles on them, but not as good as Roadrunner with red and chartreuse mini tail with power bait chartreuse with glitter nibbles. Seemed like shortening the tail a little helped hooking fish, but not sure about that.
    Another lovely day in paradise!!

Nice mess for a rough day. Personally I prefer shorter tails and also think they help with short strikes.
