    Default Too little time

Left the house around 3:30, made it to Spokane ramp on Lake St John at 4. Only two trailers at the ramp. Hum?
Went straight to a pier I usually catch some on and looked under it with livescope and saw 6 or 8 fish. First flip with Cajun cricket, almost 16" crappie. Got her in the boat and hook broke. Grabbed another rod that had BG Sweet tea with lemon, bam a 14" one, Another flip and 14 incher made the line jump. Had trouble getting the hook out of this one because she inhaled it. Turned livescope under the pier again and there wasn't even a shad under it. Don't know where they went. Time was not on my side. Hit cypress trees in 5 fow, saw fish and ended up with 9 sacs and 1 cat. Pretty good for a rushed trip.Name: IMG_20230302_163735868.jpg

I love St. John I have some friends that live on the lake. It's just about time to make a trip north.

Great pictures and catch. I’d take a 9 crappie <3 hour trip any day. Looks like a nice lake, can’t believe I’ve never fished it being from Winnsboro.
