    Default First time vertical jigging

Last week I brought a buddy of mine to Vernon Lake for some brushpile slab hunting. He is a veteran and has never fished specifically for white perch. And boy did he fall in love. I don’t have a Livescope but I do have a Helix 7. I’ve located a few brush piles and we fished them. Kept 19 . Threw back a few shorties. He’s already asking when we can go back. Another bass fisherman converted to a crappie guy, lol. Tight lines First time vertical jiggingFirst time vertical jiggingName: IMG_5208.jpg

Buddy of mine hunts near there and he used to catch some big ones off the bank throwing roadrunners. Usually in the late fall/winter. That was before the drawdown.

They have some tanks in there for sure. Almost every trip I catch a 14-15 incher or more. I’ve had a couple 16+
