Lake St John this afternoon
Took an 8 mile trip to Lake St John this afternoon. Launched next to the old store that is closed.
Fished outside the tree line, inside the tree line, and as close to the bank as I could get. Not a bite!! Went down the lake to a spot that I caught one last year. Caught a catfish, so I wasn’t skunked!!
At least it wasn’t muddy. New. Echomap 93 Uhd worked great!! The down Vu seems to show fish better than my Helix 9. The SideVue on the trolling motor works really well!!
Maybe the crappie will be biting when I get tired of turkey hunting!

I was up at St. John since Thursday. We didn't fish but rather went to visit my old friend (96 years old). Had a good time cooking and eating plus I got to do a little metal detecting. That's as much fun as fishing, some call it land fishing. Anyway saw some fishermen fishing the outside edge of docks and they were picking up a few. The lake is back up after being low for some time.
