    Default North La. Crappie

Got to go yesterday after work and caught 9 nice slabs and 2.75 Lb bass. Only fished from 5:30 to 6:45. Found them in the shallows (1 1/2 - 2 ft). The water temp. was 60 degrees. Now have to wait and see what this little cool snap is going to do to them. There is big bass tournament on the lake this weekend so it will be interesting to see how it goes trying to crappie fish amongst all those bass boats. All I can say is to scoot over and give me a little room to wet a hook. Will give update on lake as I get to fish.

Sorry about that. Poverty Point Lake. Fishing was slow yesterday with the rain according to several I talked with.. I did talk to one friend that went early in the a. m. and he did fairly well. Had 13 nice slabs and got several smaller fish (had limit) before the rain moved in. Water temps on the rise. I checked it about 6:30 last night and it was still there at 58-59 degrees. Can't wait for weekend.
