You can also drill and tap the pvc if you have a way to do it, and put a nylon screw there just to sturdy it up a bit. The nylon screw will allow the drift master to spin if you hook a sea monster.

Finished the umbrella holder! The part above upper rear T, I left unglued. That way I can use longer or shorter depending on which umbrella I need. That’s a trailer coupling pin to regulate how deep the umbrella goes. Do I need to pin the umbrella to keep it from blowing away.

Great looking setup. Always good when things work out. Sounds like a few small tweaks and you will have it all set

Ooooooooh yooooooouuuuuuu gonna need a bigger umbrella. Maby 6' sense it's gonna stay behind you all of the time. When you are headed into the sun at 10 am and its 100* the shadow of that little umbrella will be on your console.

Academy sales Patio umbrellas and I'm sure you could probably find them at Lowes or Home Depot also.

I have an 8 ft. one and it is too big for me...gets in the way when I pick up a pole....and yes, you definitely need to anchor down the umbrella...

Beach Umbrellas are scarce!! I went back to Louie this morning. Got off to a bad start. Didn’t see the Bandit crank bait that was stuck in my bow rope. I sure could feel it when it stuck deep in the pad of my little finger. That’s when you find out how tough you are!! Got my needle nosed pliers and pulled it out!! I had some antibiotic cream so I put that on it and went fishing. Bite was slow. Ended up with enough for supper. Some bigger fish than the last few trips. Apparently there is very Little oxygen below 10 feet deep. If I put a shiner deeper than that, it was dead the next time I checked it. Tried some new spots and caught some bigger fish. My rod holder worked great.
