Congrats on a nice mess!
When everything comes together and goes rite. Back in the oxbows again, the river above L&D#2 was at pool stage after all the rain in the area. Got an early wake up call from Mr Thunder at 3 am to beat the alarm by a half hour, coffee made and quick check on the radar and the rain missed me. I got to the launch about 1/2 hr before safe light to see if the fish would bite cranks in the dark so I could extend my time on the water before it got to hot. Rigged 8 poles under the moonlight and started trolling from the dock and had 2 splashing on the surface before sun up and continued steady till around 10. I had 22 keepers and probably caught about 35 total even hooked a sea monster. He stripped over 800’ of 30# braid off the real before I could get the other baits in to go chase him. I did get to put an eye ball on him when he made a spectacular jump like a tarpon, but it was a very large paddle fish. They put up a pretty good fight on my 12’ trolling rod and he finally got off. Not many pictures but I was busy all morning.

Sounds like a great time. With the bonus of the making for a good fish fry

Nice catch Skippa , pulling those baits gets addictive. I only manged to catch 12 Sunday morning with my eight rods, but all were good fish on Cypress Lake in Benton, La.
