Put a deposite on a new boat yesterday. It will be some time before I get it. I really am not crazy about drilling a bunch of holes in it. Can anyone recommend a good spider rig rod holder set that does require drilling holes in my boat?

Po. someone makes one that is a flat bar that fits under the seat post. Just found it made by Driftmaster it's called "no drill" pole holder.

My wife bought me a 2021 Tracker 170 Pro and said now you can go catch those sacalait you always talking about. I said I can now try spider rigging. She told me I'd better not drill any holes in that darn boat LOL.

I purchased the No-Drill Driftmaster Rod Holder that Skippa Chippa mentioned. It was a little pricey so there might be other no drill options. It fits through the seat post hole, secures to post and seems to be very sturdy. I've not had a chance to try it as I'm learning to use the new boat by closing out on the bream/shellcracker chase.

Got the No Drill Crow Foot frame T-250-H for about $180, looks like it's gone up a little. You can find it at the Driftmaster site.

I had the same concerns about drilling holes. I got a 2x4 and drilled a hole in it that my seat pole fits through, then screwed the mounting bracket of the driftmaster to it. It is a little wobbly, but I can move it out of the way when I get out of the boat, or remove it when I am not spider rigging. Thinking about making another out of Stsrboard or aluminum.
