Reel purdy fish.
Left out early headed to the bonne idee this morning. When I got to the ramp I noticed the water was up several inches since last week. Decided I didn't like how it looked and opted to go try the river instead.
River is up about 5ft over pool but I want to try some fish in the bushes.
Head up river to my first stop and fish around for a minute before I find them on the edge of the bushes.
Today wasn't a reaction bite or fast bite, you had to toss it out and let it marinate for a minute without moving it any before they would hammer it.
I caught 10 in that first hr and then they just quit. I tried for a while longer and decided to move to next spot.
Bite was slow but I found some fish way down in some submerged tops, 7ft deep in 9fow on gold/chartreuse and black/orange

With the water cooling off some the fish are going to become more active... the color in the water helps with the sun in their eyes --- good catch
