Looking for any river crappie fishermen that could help locate some decent places to pick up a few slabs. We fished the bayou and caught only dinks. That's the longest bayou I've ever fished. Also fished the small lake north of Forsthe park and got one descent fish @ 1.75. New to the area and trying to find a pattern for colors/locations. Any help would be appreciated.

You know me, I'm always ready for a road trip. Chip Newest member of Traveling Team OverallsBrad982 LIKED above post
You can catch them in the lakes this time of year but I prefer to fish the treetops on the river itself. Not all are created equal. Try them til you find a pattern If you go on a weekend, the boat traffic picks up after 10 am
The bayou gets better in October/November if it stays low
Try some of the tops on the bayou between the river and the bridge. There should still be some in there.
Thanks ark, will give it a try and what colors would you suggest.
Guess I'll have to wait till after the ACT tourney to get some tight lip locals to give up some info.
Well it looks like the ACT tourney is over. Any locals (or travelers) want to bring out some locations and colors. Just looking for some keepers to cook on the barbey.
