Good eating size, was that the alligator or one of your noodles making the wake. The water looks cleaner.

The Alligator. But my guess is he was lured out into the open by the struggling fish on the noodle.

Just the reflection of the blue sky. This was my second trip to Dubisson this spring and the water still looks like coffee milk. On a sadder note, this is also the second time seeing a dead crappie floating. Both times the fish looked fairly fresh (not decomposing) and was 13-14" long.

jchag have you been to GrassyLake/LakeVerret yet with your noodles? I've make a couple of trips some weeks back and really loaded up using 15 yo-yo's for a full morning, baiting with a 1lb bag of fresh shrimp from Rouse's grocery. Cut them into segments and set the lines about 1-3 feet deep off tree branches etc. Caught a 50/60qt cooler flat out full both trips, done by noon. I tried my 24 noodles also during one trip but the yo-yo's were non stop action. Don't mean to hijack your thread but if you like catfish....
