    Default Closest bestest to Natchez?

Now that I have temporarily moved further south, it is shorter to cross the river at Natchez instead of at Vicksburg.... What are the closest bestest waters once I get back on the LA side?

Depends a lot on water level. Buy some shiners from Bernard at Upak in Ferriday, and ask him. Wonderful selection of crappie gear and great people!! Larto is my favorite, but it is really high right now. Bayou Louis is pretty good, smaller fish, and sub-par boat ramp. Lake St John can be good, but I haven't broken the code yet. Good luck! Give me a fishing report.

I don’t use shiners but I appreciate the words... Been considering St John. What’s the deal with Concordia? Never hear anything about it...

Concordia, St. John, Louis, Turkey Creek, Black River, Little River, Ha Ha Bayou, Wallace Lake, Saline/Larto, Yucatan and Bruin. Everything is in flood stage now so results will vary.

You could try Horseshoe lake outside Monterey, had some friends go last week they said the parking lot was full of Miss. license plates.

A friend of mine passed there on his way to go turkey hunting. He said there must have been at least 50 trucks at the landing.
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

People have nothing better to do, so they go fishing as it has not been canceled yet.

Concordia is a better bream and bass lake for some reason. There're a few people who reliably catch crappie on it, but I'm not one of them. Concordia, Lake St John, Bayou Louis are a bit protected from flooding, to a point. And maybe some of the other places mentioned above. Even Old River at Vidalia is good when (if) the water goes down.

I haven't been to Wallace Lake since 1964 or 1965!

Bernard has lots of jigs etc too!
