    Default Red River South Marina

I went by the new red river south marina today, they've been open for about two weeks now. all blacktop parking, 4 boat launches, $3.00; 10 cabins@ $75.00 nite and 20 RV spaces @ $20.00 nite.
located 5 miles south of 70th street on hwy 71, you'll see the Exxon Station with the huge american flag and there's a Murrels restaurant in the Exxon. you'll be launching in port lake. really nice first class marina. as of this date, 5/13, they're still workin on their web site.
I think clarks marina is bout 9-10 miles south of RRSM.

Sounds like a nice place and the prices don't sound like they are out of the norm for a new business.
You can't fish with a hung line!

Thanks dmann, that should get it going. I've heard how nice the place is from those that have seen it, plus it's closer to town.

We fished from there on Saturday. We had heard a good crappie report in the stumps just about half a mile from the landing. There was a fence line just before getting into the stumps. A lot of shallow water, and a bunch of stumps, but we didn't get into the crappie like my source had said. The boat landing is beautiful though. They do not sell fishing licenses yet there, but will soon.

Now all we need is a good fishing report from that area. Is there any deep water in that horseshoe? Don

Deepest water in the stumps was about 11 feet. Outside the stumps was about 13 feet.
