    Heard they were biting, had to go fact check that report. Took my wife's uncle today. He doesn't do much jig fishing so I thought I'd help him out with some lessons.

    We found some males on trees 3 to 5ft deep and a few big females in open water 7 or 8ft deep. Caught most our fish on black/chartreuse with a few on gold/chartreuse and a new jig I call mellow yellow.

    Water temp was 57 and the eggs look about ready. Next week is gonna be on fire....

    We kept about 20 but didn't take a chest shot.     Black bayou is a cypress filled lake and the fish spawn on the trees all over the lake, so yes they are close, they're just deeper in the water column

    Another nice box of fish. Why am i not suprised? Another body of water in my backyard I haven't fished since the 80's. I need a 50HP sticker, lol. I've used to like fishing Hanna's Run.
