The launch on Hwy 22 next to Boopalu's is good as long as you're not trying to launch during the weekend. It gets very busy with very inexperienced boaters.
Can someone recommend a public launch that is safe for a kayak on the Ticfaw?

Thank you for your knowledge. I will make sure to go during the week. Be safe and hope to see you out one day.
The Tickfaw State Park has a boat-canoe launch that is very user friendly with no waves or current with a Shute leading out to the main river. Very little boat traffic on that part of the river, mainly paddlers from what I’ve seen on 3-4 past trips. You can bring your tent or camper as well.

they have a backdown launch. I haven't used it in years. It would put u in the blood river and the associated subdivision canals.
