I heard (squirrel) hair jigs are very productive in some of the northern states. I'd like to try them down here (Louisiana). I'm sure I'm just behind on this and many of the members use them. Can any of you guys share a picture or two of some of your favorite ties or tell me if you are in the LA and are currently using them. A Courville, I'm going to PM you to see if I can purchase a few tails so I can try tying a few.

    Queyit,
Squirrel tails do good. Only problem is most of the tail are grey or brown. Which will still work, I just prefer fluorescent colors. While you can, and I have, dyed them only so much of those colors take while your still left with mostly brown. If set on tying with hair, I’d suggest kip tail already dyed...

I dont care much for the dyed tails as they don't take the color very well like Adam has already stated

I've got a black and red squirrel tail jig I make also. I just can't find the pic right nowName: 20191025_195202.jpg

I have a buddy that fishes those jig heads and does very well on them. I can't find them for sale anywhere though!
