Question about cranking...several of those fish have the hook about ripped out of their lip....do you find that you lose many cranking? Do you have to slow the boat down when you are reeling them in to avoid tearing the mouth?
Actually it’s just the opposite. I find I lose more fish spider rigging. The treble hook does a great job and I believe it’s like catching any fish you hope that they are hooked in the roof of the mouth for maximum retention. Never slow down to reel one in. The fish will set the hook himself you reel in as fast as you can and keep moving. A lot of times they will swallow the whole lure and it’s hard to get all those hooks out of their mouth. I hope I was able to answer your questions.
